A violent game?

First of all, I want to say that I place myself in a neutral position towards this topic. I am totally against verbal and physical violence commonly found in video games. By the way, I know by certain that violent behaviour performed in video games hardly can influence on adults gamers but it can do persuade children to imitate what they see or hear in front of the screen. That is why I think that all video games must be graded according to age. On the other hand, I must recognise that technology became part of our everyday life and people have to become accustomed to this fact. Moreover, using games with educational purposes is the best way to come up to technology and train students cognitive skills. But more important, they are faced to future expectations from main industries.

I think that people should stop wasting time complaining against video gaming and their possible negative influences, but start looking for a way to take advantage of it. Moreover, I do not agree on the fact that children are negative influenced by video games. They should find more support on their parents.

Are credit cards beneficial?

It is believed that since its invention, the credit card has gained a great number of followers. There are people who feel very comfortable with their credit cards because they say it allows them to acquire a great range of products. However, there are some others who claim that this plastic money is not as beneficial as it is believed. In spite of these controversial opinions towards credit cards, no one can deny the fact that this virtual money has gradually achieved an essential role in people’s life.

To begin with, it is widely known that credit cards have gained great popularity through the years. People’s every day life and comfort are intimately attached to this pseudo-money due to its unlimited use. “We can get whatever we need whenever we want to” they say. All types of shops such as bookstores, shoe shops, and drugstores use credit cards. It seems as if people are no longer concerned about not having cash in their pockets. Moreover, this virtual money is somehow a useful device for travellers; by this means they may avoid the risk of robbery when taking cash with them.

Take care of yourself.

A lot was said about “stress” in the last past two decades. This phenomenon affects mostly people who work many hours a day or those who were exposed to high emotional situations. Stress’ symptoms were depression and lack of energy.

Nowadays, the illness about which Doctors are frequently referring to is called “Bipolar depression”. Patients suffering from bipolar depression experiment a deep feeling of sadness and hopelessness, statistically the numbers of suicides are committed by people suffering the disease. However, specialists are testing new alternative therapies to supplement the traditional drug treatment. It is vital for the treatment success the cooperation of the patient’s closed relatives. They need to feel their not alone in this journey to recovery. Moreover, family members should also be under psychological treatment so to understand the origins of the disease and to support their affected relatives.

Health is our most precious gift, if we do not take care of it no one else would do it.

A question of life or death

Life in Afghanistan it is difficult for everyone, but especially for women who live under long lasting strict customs and beliefs imposed by traditions. This country that is mainly governed by men power was under constantly threatens by Taliban forces. During six months women of different social status have been threatened of death. They say they feel insecure even in their own houses and they deliberately decided not to go to work because of fear of being killed in the streets. Moreover, even their families are under threat; children stop going to school and husband make attend their business from home.

However, six years after the departure of the repressive Taliban women have made their own way and position under the country’s constitution. But they have to work in an atmosphere of fear and pressure. Although their rights have been enshrined in the constitution, they still have to combat against traditions that work against them. Moreover, human rights groups have begun documented atrocities against Afghan women such as forced marriages, abortions and rape.

Beside the fact that women are actively participating in the country’s affairs, state can not even guarantee safety in their working places. Most women have thought about the possibility of leaving the country.

Children' rights

Before children’s birth, doctors advice women that the best food for them is the mother’s natural milk. Women are taught by doctors’ different strategies of breast stimulation in order to produce milk. Moreover they are told about different drinks that help in the production of this vital food.

Women’s milk is the most beneficial food that mothers can provide their children at their early age; natural milk contains all the nutrients and vitamins little babies’ organisms require. From their early food it may depend their future cognitive and physical development? However, there are various aspects that may interfere in the realization of this process as is the case of formula milk substitutes. According to different studies, these alternatives to women natural milk are only required in cases of emergency or if mother’s milk is not good enough to feed the baby. Furthermore, a recent research has found that breastfeeding would lower the risks of developing diabetes type two. Specialists state that results have not established a final effect yet, but they are positive towards a successful result. I think that women should be aware of all the benefits of breastfeeding for themselves and their children.

Abortion

Chinese people view’s of abortion is quite different from occidental countries perception of the matter. As they consider abortion part of a government policy to measure the established family quota, in our country abortion is considered a crime. However still there are different theories about the beginning of life.

On the other hand, as government reduced to one the number of child, the number of abortions among single women has arisen. Although married women obtain government support as regard to reproductive life, they still carry out abortion. They say they do it in order not to pay the taxes imposed by government. I do not know what kind of policy is that implied in China, but life is unique here and anywhere. Of course, this analogy between life and crime could only be created by men.

Moreover, I must confess that this is such a complex issue to talk about. In one hand, there are people and public institutions such as the Church, which are against abortion and claim for the non legalization of it. Moreover, they ask for strong punishment on those who illegally practice it.

On the other, doctors suggest that abortion may be possible in cases where the mother’s life is at risk. Though, this is restricted only under medical supervision and approval. Furthermore, there are also non government organizations that defend the women’s right to decide in case of an unwelcome pregnancy. However, Church rejects any feasible case of abortion and defends life at all extents. My position to this particular issue is quite the opposite from that of the church. Although I am against a deliberate and irresponsible abortion, I strongly support the fact the doctors’ opinion. However, I think that women may take responsibility over their behaviour and decisions.

A bit of respect

I must confess that I was really caught by this new from the very beginning. Just a month ago it was known by a local TV programme the outstanding news that three mummies have been found in deserted mountains of our country. As soon as the news became known, the controversial opinions about the matter also arose and discussion was established. Native and non official organizations claim for the mummies’ recovery to their original family members. They claimed that the mummies must not have been removed from their burial places because; according to aboriginal customs they were given to their god as offerings, so they were sacred gifts.

Although the fact that these kinds of discoveries may help in scientific researches, I think that human remains should not be taken out from their burial places. Moreover they should be banned by law as well as the expositions of this type of remains. Just think about the possibility of being exposed behind the glass of a museum.

Dishonesty

The case presented in this article is a shown of men dishonesty and self-centredness. As the case revealed, scientists took advantage of their condition and cheated people who only expected any kind of help from them. According to the information, these kinds of practices such as taking out blood, have being taken place since a long time. Moreover, they became popular among natives, especially in poor tribes. It is evident, from what we can read, that scientists’ only purpose was the collection of blood samples for trading and not for studying as they claim. Otherwise, they would not refuse to give them back as their Brazilian colleagues did.

In my opinion, this action in part of the scientists made evident that they have the courage to do anything in the name of science. Moreover, they do not care about others’ interests or damage as long as they obtain their desire. Once again there is no respect for human life, not even a bit of contemplation for those who are deprived of knowledge or money as natives.

Solidarity

Although organ donation became a current theme in the few past years, still there are some people who consider it a complex and difficult issue to talk about. Non government organizations and even doctors are persuading people to register themselves as possible donors. They declare that there are some patients who have to wait for an organ for at least five to seven years. Besides the fact of the time, patients must deal with long and painful treatments which results in traumatic lives and unbearable amounts of money.

Personally I think organ donation is a matter of self-consciousness and care about other’s life thinking about ours. We may consider the possibility of becoming a voluntary donor in case any of our relatives may need it. Moreover, we may be directly engaged in circumstances in which our health or life would depend of someone else organs. I think it is just a matter of faith and hope. In this way we may contribute to enlarge or improve someone else life.

Justice or Cruelty?

Death penalty is such a controversial issue. There are people who are in favour of such a punishment because the say that if someone killed someone else for robbery, revenge, etc must be punished by law in the same way. However, there are people who believe that forgiveness is the best therapy and help that government could give them.

A recent research has found that those prisoners who are injected with the lethal injection suffer from great pain before actually dying. The chemicals are so strong that they still feel the pain after being injected with anaesthetic. Because of these findings, anti death penalty campaigners and lawyers presented a claim asking for the dissolution of this kind of cruel punishment.

As a result, a number of death sentences will be delayed till judge get to an agreement. What is important to consider as regard this issue is the fact that criminals should be punished with justice and no cruelty.

A controversial decision

No one can deny the fact that homosexuality has caused controversial opinions all over the world. The acceptance in society of gay relationships, gay marriage or same couple blessings are some of the questions homosexuals are claiming for. During these days Congress in Colombia was the home of an astonish bill signed by Colombian president Alvaro Uribe. The bill gives equal health insurance rights and allows a surviving gay partner to inherit shared assets.
The bill would validate gay union before the law and it will benefit more than 100,000 couples. Gay organizations in Colombia described the ruling as a great step and they also seek to an end in discrimination. They say that it may be time for the Legislature to address the needs of same-sex couples and their families.Unfortunately, these affairs have brought to the surface a more controversial issue; that people have discriminatory attitudes against homosexuals’. These affairs are quite remarkable issues that will never get to a consensus due to the notorious of its content. Gay relationships are seeing as unnatural for Church; they go against nature and family. Moreover, it is quite difficult for people to accept such relations. I think that it will pass a lot of time till these relations may be accepted. Moreover, I think that in these cases what must be carefully considered is the fact that gays or lesbians are no more than people.
