Not only gender stereotypes affect girls but also boys whose feelings and opinions were left aside during centuries. The study also mentions that even boys who seem OK in the surface are silently suffering inside. Besides this suffering they feel disconnected to their own selves and in most of the cases alienated from peers, siblings and even parents. What makes this discovery more serious is the fact that these feelings of isolation and loneliness may last throughout boyhood and continue till adult life. After reading and reflecting on such declarations the one million dollar question would be: why is it that boys suffer? What is the main cause of their pains? And in case they suffering what makes they remain in silence instead of shouting to the world what is really going on inside them just like their sisters and female partners do? Well, finding the answer or the various answers to those questions will come to uncover a truth no one dares say that boys and men also feel the heavy influence of society on them. These days general view of boys and men is that of the rude and tough man who has neither pains nor complaints. This view of men became almost into a myth difficult be removed by modern boys or young men who are trying to find a way out of such prototype, a task difficult to achieve since their own parents still believe in that mythical image of man.
Boys and men of this century are facing the great challenge of behaving and acting just the way they feel without being taken by impostors or false men. The fact they openly express their feelings and emotions does not make them weaker or less male prototypes. On the contrary, this revelation of the self dignifies them as beings who just want to coherent with the way they behave and how they feel.
