Following with the example mentioned before, now we will analyse the filmic version of the same movie which in this case comes to be shorter than the written edition. The movie has the same main plot that the book, however, some of the subplots is only mentioned briefly. As regard to the characters they are same; actors’ physical appearance is quite similar to the description given in the book. Their personalities are determined mainly by facial expression, body language, actions, dialogues and thoughts. The setting is similar to that of the book; it contains a wide variety of details making reference to the places where the most important events occurred. Although the theme is the same it is not directly presented to viewers who may infer it all along the movie.
In conclusion, although both versions share the same main features, the movie version skipped some details which are mentioned in the book.
